FAQ’s
How would you describe your style?
Our approach can vary from low-key to highly interactive depending on the wishes of our customers. We’re often described as classy but fun, with no big arena voices, just a natural, normal tone punctuated with a bit of humor from time to time. As professional DJs, we realize it’s our job to facilitate a pleasant and enjoyable occasion for everyone, and that’s what we set out to do.
Who chooses the music that will be played?
You may have as much control over the music selections as you wish, or you can simply leave it up to us. For a dance playlist, we suggest a wide variety of fun, popular, clean selections that are appropriate for a wedding. We’ll work with you to provide the right mix for you and your guests. We also provide a list of popular dance songs you can use as a guide to select tunes for your special occasion.
Will I know which DJ will perform at my event?
Yes! Unlike some other DJ companies who will assign you an associate who could be playing at his first event, we put your DJ’s name on the contract, thus avoiding cringe-worthy experiences that could strike with a newly-minted live performer. Without knowing your DJ, how will you know if his experience and qualifications meet your expectations? Don’t take chances that can cause your guests to leave early. Hire a seasoned professional DJ/emcee with a proven track record of success!
Do you just play music?
We act as the emcee and coordinate all planned activities with the other professionals to ensure our events run smoothly. We also specialize in interacting with guests so they stay on the dance floor to participate in the celebration.
How do you dress, and will you eat or take breaks?
We usually wear a suit for wedding receptions or, if requested, more casual attire. We won’t eat or drink alcoholic beverages, and we won’t take unnecessary breaks. The music is played continuously for the entire event.
Are you licensed and insured, and do you belong to any organizations?
We are licensed by the state of Florida (#0205473) and carry $1,000,000 liability insurance through the Fireman’s Fund. Also, we are members of the National Association of Catering Executives, the Better Business Bureau, and the American Disc Jockey Association.
What kind of equipment do you use?
We use high-end professional sound systems including Denon controllers, Serato software from a MacBook Pro, and Electro-Voice (EV) speakers, all powered by separate 3,000-watt QSC amplifiers. A UHF wireless microphone system and festive dance-floor lighting is included in all packages.
Each DJ has over 20,000 songs from all eras in his library including the most current pop/top 40 hits. If we don’t yet have a specific request – we’ll purchase it. (That’s how we build our collection.)
Do you play at wedding ceremonies?
Yes. Our 1 hour on-site ceremony package includes music and a wireless microphone for the officiant. We start with 30 minutes of prelude music, the processionals, interlude music (if necessary), the recessional and a postlude song. ($195.)
What else do you have available?
Besides music and emcee service, we also offer decorative room uplghting which can add a lovely ambiance to most any setting. Uplighting can also enhance the background of your professional photos. ($20. per light.)
How much do you charge?
Our 4-hour wedding reception rate ranges from $695-$995, depending on the date, time of day and distance needed to travel. There are no taxes, set-up fees, or other charges and a 30% deposit is asked to reserve your DJ.
